Is this possible?

Hallo, I’m new on the OT traet.
Maybe this question has allready been asked around here but I don’t have the courage to read everything for the moment.

Is it possible with the OT to have 1 or even 2 long ( stereo ) tracks running while using the other ( 7 or 6 ) tracks in the sequencer > so running in song mode - with patterns and chaines.?
what I want to to is this : I use a A4 + an AK + Kurzweil 2500
I want to compose runningthe Kurzweil sequencer together with the AK -A4. The KW is mutch to heavy to take to gigs. So I would want to sample the KW and run this as ( stereo ) samples in the OT.
1 Can this be done with very long samples ?
2 Can these run together with a OT-song structure ( going from 1 pattern to the next ).
3 If I loop a chain or pattern - Can the KW sample loop aswell or do I have to make a different sample-blocks ( do I have to cut the sample into smaller samples that fit the pattern-length ) to achieve this ?
4 Can the sample run free from the other tracks - so when looping the sample dousn’t loop but continous ?

  1. Yes
  2. Yes
  3. probably easiest to chop into smaller samples
  4. Yes

For number 3 you could also set up a flex track that resamples a chunk of the kurzweil loop.

Thank U SOOOO MUTCH for this info !

I just realized that the resampled chunk will loop along with the current pattern but the original loop would still be playing out so I guess it really all depends on what you want to do and choosing one of several ways to do it (slice points on a long sample or chopped slices of a long sample)

Thanx
