I’m trying to decypher what you did… You used pickup machines for recording right? And you already had a half length, reversed pattern ready in slot 2, where you switched to after a few mins correct?
Track 2 and 3 had pickup machines. Pattern 2 had a different Part assigned to it with reversed samples.

surprisingly this is more of an informative demo of OT then of the AK!
i really need to start experimenting with pickup tracks, the way OT acts as a looper seems so effortless in that video compared to the way i currently use it to perform similar duties (sampling external synths live over OT rhythm parts). would be amazing if you guys at elektron could post template projects for this kind of stuff… i’'m still very confused with how to setup pickup tracks

Great demo.
Very tempted by the AK, but I’m thinking of keeping my A4 and trying instead to find a really small midi keyboard with decent keys, at least 2 controllers to mimic the joystick and proper midi out. Not close to the AK quality, but Samson graphite 25 or Alesis QX25 seem likely candidates. A 37 full size key controller would be better but it is starting to get too big for the sort of one handed riffery I’d be doing. Want to keep things compact as possible.
What do the leds over the AK keys do? Curious as to how far short an A4+midi keyboard comes compared to the AK. Apart from the AK being such a solid all-in-one, are there other integrations with the A4 motherbrain that only an AK can do, but an external midi controller can’t?
Pity elektron didn’t also release the bottom half of the AK as a separate for existing A4 users, I’d be very tempted by that if it had 2 midi outs and a few more A4/OT focused controllers eg command macro buttons, track mutes/fades, XY!
