LFO to Bit Reduction

I saw the following Video-Tutorial and tried to reproduce it, but nothing happens when I turn the Depth or Start Phase Knobs in the LFO Menu.

What I did:

  • Choosing the FM-Kick and doing a 4/4 Beat
  • Changing the FM Amount of the 2. and 4. Kick via P-Lock
  • Selecting a Shaker Sample and changing the Start and Endpoint
  • Setting the LFO to Bit Reduction and Setting Hold to TRG
  • Turning the Depth and Start Phase Knobs but nothing changes :frowning:

Have I forgotten anything?

You need a hair follicle in your screen.

*edit - hit the trig button and make sure the LFO is set to on

Thx dimitrimax

It´s working now

I used the “Shaker Little” Sample the whole time with no success. Today I tried it again with the “Shaker Salt” Sample and now the Start Phase Parameter produces a very nice Swing.

Conclusion: Short Samples are not useful for this procedure.

I guess it was needless for me to edit that post haha. Glad you worked it out

Seriously though, it makes the kicks a lot fatter !

Yes indeed, you need something quite long, hence why I chose a shaker sample with some hold, I suppose I should have indicated that there was a reason for it
Glad you worked it out though !
Cheers.
