Listening survey, comparison of analog equalizers and they're digital counterparts

Hi all!

I’m studying music and sound production at a university in Sweden, and I’m doing a survey for an essay I’m working on.

The essay is about analog vs digital gear, and in the survey I’m trying to find out if people (mixers/producers/hobbyists/anyone who’s interested in studio gear) are able to tell the difference between an analog equalizer and it’s corresponding digital emulation.

The survey is made with Google Forms with links to google drive, and takes about 10-15 minutes to complete.

The equalizers I’m comparing in the survey are the Pultec EQP-1A and the API 550b.
The survey consists of two parts, one for each equalizer.
In each part you will be presented with three audio files (a vocal take, an electric guitar and a kick drum), which have been processed with an analog instance of the equalizer, and exactly the same
way with an emulation of the equalizer.

I figured it would be a fun challenge if you like music gear!

I very much appreciate each and every answer!

You’re also free to share the survey with anyone you want, if you know someone who’s got an interest in studio gear and would find the survey interesting!
