Hey congrats on the rytm, beastly machine!
Next time I turn it on, I will find the exact compression settings for you.
However, I know on the rytm I often lean on using it ‘New York’ style and mix the compressed signal in (rather than fully wet). Then add a bit of distortion for the final glue. At least this approach works well for me, but I don’t tend to use much reverb or delay (which can get smooshed by the distortion if you’re not careful)

absolutely agree with your recipe.

Rytm mkI or rytm mkII ? how much sample vs synthesis ratio ? Drum Layering ? Field recordings ?

cheers, depends on the track I guess, but I try to use the synthesis as much as possible, then sometimes layer samples on top too, for added beef.
