exactly. it may seem a stretch at first if you have a set routing structure, but over time i think it will prove more flexible as you can switch track destinations around and have these an quantizable changes between patterns.
Oke, sounds good, only now when i change pattern on the MD, i lose my pattern info? I still get lost how to get it organised.
I make kits, and every time i change to a new seq with a new kit, it wont remember…
and do i have to re-program the output everytime when i change seq?
I think there was a way to save it internaly?..
anyway, im smiling again…
glad it’s working. it is worth reading the manual as mcl is quite deep but not insurmountable, just a brain rewiring from extended function.
you will need to save before changing patterns to store data to a row. FUNC + YES
having been through the brain strain of adapting, i’m happy to help others adapting from the comfort of extended mode into enhanced.
I want to do a video that shows key original function vs MCL function differences.
but i don’t have a decent laptop or cam setup to record.
It’s the biggest hurdle to learn as you have to undo loads of hard wired muscle memory , but once you’re there it’s basically a turbo charged MDmk3
What version of MCL are you running? Make sure it is the latest.
Hi Justin, thanks for replying, I’m using the latest version 4.43, MCL receives pattern change but soon after it goes out of sync, sometimes it skips the first part of the row
The problem is likely because MCL can’t load instantaneously. Roughly speaking, the pattern change should be sent 1 bar before. But this is not configurable with the OT.
Your best bet is to send the pattern change from MCL to the OT.
I get it, i will try this, thanks man! keep up the good work!
I have just discovered this awesome tool but it is difficult to find any for sale.
Is it possible to run the software on a MacBook Air and control a Machinedrum via a usb to midi cable? (assuming I get a decent cable)
you need the hardware to harness the turbo midi protocol
Hi, how can i set tempo per pattern? I can’t find it in the manual, I need each bank has its own different time!!
