MIDI Configuration assistance?

I’m currently trying to setup my MD, OT, and DT.

I want to have program change coming from the OT(for its arranger) and Tempo coming from the DT(for its tempo per pattern ability).

I currently have it so that OT out is going into DT in, and then DT thru/out is going through a merger into OT in, OT thru going into MD in.

DT sends clock, doesn’t receive it and Vice versa for program changes. OT receives clock, doesn’t send it//sends pg chg, doesn’t receive it. MD receives both.

The snag I’ve hit with this configuration is that there seems to be a disconnect with the OT/DT clock start. In that I hit play on either device- the MD runs but the other device doesn’t play.

Pr Chg channel 10 on all devices.

Anybody know where the hangup is? Thanks!

Okay- I just switched OT sync from SEND to RECEIVE so now I commence patterns by hitting START on the DT. This is going to be a functional whiplash(selecting patterns on the OT, but starting the setup from the DT), but it appears to actually work. Still have to do some testing to check all the functionality

Hi Ryan,
In case, if using OT arranger, remember that you can set “bpm pattern” there…

That though had crossed my mind, but-for sketching purposes- the built in tempo selection seems to be more ideal
