Can I play a midi file into my octatrack/Analog 4 from a DAW and record the notes?

Yes it’s possible. Like most gear.
just use right channel, press record and it’s done

things would be interesting if you could straight up load midi files ~_~ but i doubt that will ever happen

I requested this back in '11 when the Octatrack was released… well, after they finally enabled midi tracks that is.

Elektron basically told me to go buy a midi sequencer…
