I’ve been going back to the Analog Rytm these days and I totally see what you mean. I do get a complete different sound and expression from the Rytm and it fits my music very well too and of course a lot more is possible. I now find that the Rytm has more depth and fits better in the mix and the MC is a little harder sounding. I’d wish I could just use one machine for simplicity’s sake but both are really great.
How strickt are we on the “Model:cycles only” in this thread? Got mine on saturday and did a little Dub jam today. But did use som external effects. And run it through Heat and a Warm audio Bus Comp.
That should be fine IMO.
Agreed.
A little long, but very impressed with the Cycles so far! Fun little box!
My first song made using model Cycles
That’s a pleasant dub track with fine sounds and the mix sounds spacious and balanced. Well done.
very well done!
Thanks! Starting to like the cycles more and more.
I’m trying to figure out better techniques to get more variety out of the chord machine on M:C. The primary technique I’ve been using is to automation record/p-lock the “color” knob (inversions) in time with the metronome to fake arpeggiation
Thanks for your comments
Thanks, pleased to have put my first track together with it. Back to experimenting now…
Nice mellow vibe. Liked the snare, I struggle with them a bit. Good to hear a gentle song
Just listened to this a second time - definitely not too long coz there’s variation and build-up , my personal favorite from this thread to date. Good work fella!
Thanks alot! I think its the third time i ever made anything “Dub-ish”. But with feedback like this i need to keep doing it.
Thanks! And I feel ya on the snares. I’m finally getting to the point where I feel like I have a good deck of snare presets saved up.
Very nice. Makes me want to explore the perc machine and shorter kicks
