It’s been a while since I fired up the Cycles but man I love this little fella. Despite rocking the Syntakt for the past month I feel like the Cycles still grooves with me a bit better. It’s just fun!

I made this whole record on a model:cycles, minus the vocal on the first track and a couple field recording samples on tracks 3 and 4 respectively. This was my first time working with the cycles or any Elektron gear, and making this record was a way to motivate myself to dig in and learn and try to push the boundaries of what I could do with it.
I have some background with FM synthesis, but I found the focused palette and sense of immediacy with the cycles led me in some new directions. It’s just so much fun to jam on.

total of 3 for the farty-kick, 1 uses the Kick Machine, 2 uses the Tone Machine, 1st one being designated to the PAN LFO and the 2nd one being designated to the COLOR.
