Monomachine patterns not saving when i save a song

I saved the kit and the song but when i load it backup the pattern has gone - what did i do wrong

Also i saved a song on Snapshot 2 digibank 2 but that’s dissapeard as well

Saving the song does not save the content of the patterns that are listed in the song. Did you overwrite the patterns with other content?

how do you save patterns
So everytime you make a change you have to save everything? do you have to save the snapshot as well?

What does the song save if it doesn’t save patterns or kits?

Saving a song saves the list of patterns in the song. The patterns themselves are saved automatically but if, for example, you use pattern C03 in a song and then overwrite pattern C03, the previous information in the pattern is gone.

Depending on the global settings for your instrument, if you load a new snapshot your data in memory might not be actually saved to its original snapshot. You should probably save to a snapshot before loading another snapshot.

Make sure you save kit every session and snapshot if changing snapshots.

I saved the snap shot But how exactly do you save the pattern then?

i don’t see C03 i think there is 000 End is that the pattern how do i save it and how do i stop it being overwritten? does every pattern share the same location?

The patterns are saved automatically. You do not need to take any action for them to be saved.

The patterns are stored in locations labelled A01 … A16, B01 … B16, and so on up to H16.

I saved the kit then the song and then the snapshot

I used C03 as an example of a pattern number.

If you are seeing 000 END on your screen then you are probably looking at an empty song.

If you have not done so already, I would suggest reading the Monomachine manual to get used to some of the terminology and the way things operate.

cant find anything on saving patterns just kits and songs does the pattern save with the kit or the song?

As I wrote twice before, patterns are saved automatically. You do not need to manually save patterns.

Patterns are independent objects and are not linked to kits or songs.

You should save kits manually and save songs manually.

seams to be working now im guessing the patterns are saved with the song thanks for the help. so after any changes i do the following ¬

  • Save Kit
  • Save Song
  • Save Snapshot
