Need a singer? Less the diva attitude

Emvoice just was launched sounds pretty amazing made from real vocals
and is free to download,
But You only get under an octave range in free version

https://emvoiceapp.com/

What u reckon? Would you use it?

I’ll have to download it to personally use it. It’s certainly utilitarian in its application, missing the soul that comes from using a real voice(but finding the right voice for something like that is also a bit of a struggle)

It’s pretty impressive, I’ll admit- skillful programmers. Just sounds a bit too Evanescence for my purposes.

Could be good for demos before getting a real chick singer. Provide her a good blue print for how you envision her singing.

It’s an interesting touch, I just wish there were different voices to choose from

Thanks for sharing, though! Outside of it not being all that useful to me, it’s still cool!

No worries…
I downloaded it just to try, it’s surprisingly easy to use and sounds pretty good and natural for what it is.
I’ve tried other types of vocal vst and they didn’t sound this good.
like you said might be good for demo purposes etc.

Definitely.

I’m glad they’re offering a free version, it’s definitely something I want to try out.

What would make this thing a must buy would be a “realism” parameter that allowed you to seamlessly automate between this and a lo-fi synthetic voice

I hear so much modern stuff where the vocals are processed to sound kind of robotic like this anyway, so I suppose if that’s your thing, you could even use this for finished tracks.

Yeah With autotune etc…
you could use it for phrases or a hook that fit perfectly for your track or something
And just use some effects etc people might not even notice .
I don’t make music with vocals but was thinking of trying something like that

funnily I think I would be more likely to use vocaloid stuff just because it sounds so weird… I want my robot singers to embrace being robots haha

Every time a product like this is released, a piece of my soul dies… (sigh).

Aww man come on it’s not soul crushing :joy:
it’s ok for a bedroom producer to mess about with and make some artificial vocals.
Sing your own vocals if you want lol… it won’t be replacing real singers
