Any guesses?
I’m hoping for MangledVerb
edit:
turns out it is the MicroPitch Delay:
“Pitch-perfect” and “delicious” make me assume it’ll not be a reverb, but some kind of pitch-based sonic sweetener. Lots of their existing algos come to mind but maybe it’s all new, too.
It looks like the blackhole/rose form factor whic is cool. I think the rose is great. Folks bemoan the mono nature but it’s still great for synths with the line in switch and super long delay times forward and reverse.
Yea, probably.
Looks like stereo i/o, too.
Shimmer?
Plus the red colour suggests a Pitchfactor harmoniser effect. That ties in with pitch-perfect bit nicely. ‘Delicious’ is plain confusing tho.
“Red Delicious” …
I think I’ve used my Eventide rack units for that effect more than any of the others combined. It’s a classic.
Great chorus. And Nord Red, plus fits onto a Nord keyboard.
Coincidence? Most definitely, but I’m reminded of how many Nords are lacking a good stereo chorus (unison doesn’t count)
I still prefer Tricerachorus and Harmadillo for my synths, but this is definitely a sweet algorithm. I like the video suggestion to use it with monosynths too, they usually benefit from “a little somethin’”.
$279, btw
This thing is gorgeous. Funny, I’ve been thinking about a delay to use on an FX send. I am: interested.
I hope Eventide will keep launching new ones; every time it generates a ton of lengthy new tutorials on YouTube for algorithms that I never use on my H9. Should be a nice weekend playing around with them.
Lovely sounding pedal and effect and nice vibe in that promo video as well but man has Eventide been milking the H3000 glory…almost Roland-esque.
There’s so many great algos in h3k, its hilarious to piece them out one by one into guitar pedals like this instead of doing what the people want and making a new 3000, or at least adding all algorithms to the plug
They did make a new 3000, it’s called the 9000…
And that’s called the H9…
Lol no way those suck… h9k is overpriced and overstuffed for having less warmth and character, and the pedal doesn’t do stereo in. I dislike sterile sounding fx, and im sure the people who love the 3k do as well. Different tastes.
I think these pedals are great but I have a hard time justifying them when I own all of the H9 series plugins.
I’d rather get something I can only get in pedal form (chase bliss stuff or some analog pedals).
I guess the nice part is that I know these pedals are available. So if the plugins become a permanent part of a chain then it’s nice to be able to get a pedal to offload the CPU for other things/live performance stuff.
