Hi Guys,
i saw the recent update and ask myself if the Octatrack now finally is able to record Note Lenght when triggering samples or playing Bass with Single Cycle Waveforms.
In Releasenotes is written:
Added an option to select if note length should be recorded or not while inputting notes in the MIDI sequencer. The option is located in the PERSONALIZE menu.
This option concerns midi tracks in Grid Recording only. If you hold a trig, you can record notes from external midi, and record length (old behavior). This new option allows you to disable length recording. It was a common request from users.
I found a way to record audio notes length with a midi processor, but apparently nobody is interested, even someone who sold is OT because of that…
Or with midi loopback, gaining 3 additional LFO
Btw I found a bit stupid that we can record and play gate in Midi tracks but we can only play and not record in Audio tracks.
The OT can do that but Elektron decide not to implement it. Workaround are nice but it’s frustrating when that function is limited for not reason, at that point make it impossible to do.
Like for example the copy delay/reverb in FX1, I can do it, Elektron knows it but they don’t implement natively, no sense.
