Does anyone know if there is a way to select patterns on the Octatrack (or A4 or AR) without pressing Pattern+Track? Is there a way to keep the pattern selection option lit without having to hold down the Pattern selection button?
Thanks.

no way but using duct tape…
Is there a way to avoid button combination for pattern switching? Apart from sticking a chewing gum on the top of Pattern button… I want Pattern button to be “always on” so I don’t need to use combination of Pattern + Trig for changing patterns, I just want to press a trig button for this purpose.
use the arranger?
Use program changes from the MIDI input.
True, will try both. Thanks for the tip!
I user my launchpad mk3 pro. I can assign a pattern on a pad.
Require 2 consecutive button presses minimum (arrows, then YES) but if interested by arranger solution, I’ll add you can loop patterns longer without a Loop Row :
Set Repeat 64, 512 steps length (more than 1 hour playing at 120 bpm).
I think its better with single patterns, you can eventually replace Loop Row by a REM (reminder) to name your pattern / break / song…
