So the Digitakt has been getting a bit of flack the past few days. Some of it warranted but like @andreasroman’s recent post I wanted to say something enthusiastic about this thing as I’m having an utter blast with it.

I don’t usually share anything I do because I usually think it’s a pile of shite but I had such fun doing this that I had to put it up there:

The sample used is at the start of the track. Everything came from that one sample. Yeah it’s a little repetitive, messy and not particularly imaginative but man, this thing is just awesome fun. It’s such a breeze turning samples wild. I am dog shit at sampling other than regular linear stuff, even when I had an OT, but I’m turning stuff inside out with Digitakt!

As @andreasroman says - you owe it to yourself to try it!

And while we’re on the record of making statements, I think you sold your own piece of music right here, short. I enjoyed it thoroughly and it sounds to me a clever way of using just a small piece of audio, and a beatiful one sounding at that. It’s like the Digitakt doing a canon all on its own.

I definitely had one of those moments when I was just cheesing while doing it - like it all clicked together. I probably knocked it out and recorded it all in about 1 hour tops I think - now that never happened when I had an OT!

I don’t think I even used all 8 tracks either haha!
