I like using the pattern mutes on the AR and A4 - very easy to navigate
But I’m not feeling the OT.
I’d like to set mutes per the same pattern in the song edit menu, but to hear my mutes I need to restart a pattern.
Problem is, you have to scroll all the way to the right side of the display to set the mutes. Then scroll all the way over to the left side to reset the pattern. God forbid of you double click the stop button because it takes you to the top of the arrangement.
GRRRRRRRR…very annoying and flow killing…
Does anyone have a work around?
I’m the only one who uses track mutes in Song mode? I find it invaluable when working on the A R and 4
There really isn’t a workaround. You just have to strap in and be mindful of how you navigate the arranger menu.
I also wish the double-stop tap didn’t bring you to the top… so annoying!
I noticed that when I’m using octatracks track mutes in the arranger, the sustain and release of the last trig, before the mute, keep on singing, wich I think is nice. But when I use regular mutes, all the sound from the track totally mutes, even effects, like delay or reverb.
So, I just wondered if anyone have found a workaround on, for example, making the reverb sing after regular mute is hit. Or making a trig last for its intended length if mute is hit during that note … ???
