I imagine this may have been answered before but…
How does one go about getting longer 3-4 minute tracks(samples/backing tracks) onto the OT.
I had one a couple years ago and remember there being a recording time limit, and I had to change the settings to even get it to allow me to record 2min+ samples.
Do I have to import them through the computer or can I record through the inputs.
I just sold my DT and some modular gear to fund another OT purchase and it should be here by the end of the week and I’ll be DJ’ng for a friend early next month and would like to have processs his instrumentals and vocals through the OT but some of his songs are over 4 mins long.
You can record up to 8m28s with empty ram and 16 bit.
You can import and play up to 3.5 hours long files (2GO files limit) with Static machines, read from the Compact Flash card.
Play them with one shot trigs, 1ST trig conditions, track + play, sample trigs, scale 1/8 low tempo…
You can also use slices and several patterns.

I’m guessing by 2GO u mean 2GB.
But thanks if I remember correctly the ram sample time shortens as you record more into it?
Yes GO is in French, GB British ?
Recording time decrease if you use Flex slots, using RAM for mangling flexibility, or if you use several recording buffers, using RAM too.
If you record a long sample, you can also save and assign it to a Static slot, saving RAM if you want to make other long recordings…
