Dear People,
I just got lucky and picked up a mp2kxl to go along with Mr OT.
What Id like to do is sync them like normal and have four bar patterns on OT while running the mpc at double speed (for higher resolution/ppq).
Anybody got an Idea how I could accomplish that?
Another thing Id like to do is trigger Ot samples with the mpc pads(like some folks are doing with mpd´s and stuff), but dont know how to set it up.
Any insight is highly appreciated.

Set both tempo’s and hit play {with no sync between Ot & Xl}.
Then use the nudge to get in sync {right /left button ot). Try it .
Ill give it a shot but this cant be a solution. Since microtiming is important esp for drums…
And I wont be able to reconstruct it when I shut down or change between projects
Nah man, just use your ears. Its a good skill to learn. Its how dj`s used to do it back in the days.
Actually, what happes if you turn off tempo send on Ot ?
no send on OT > mp as master or not synced at all
Ok, turn off tempo receive on Ot.
I don’t know the MPC2000 at all, but, assuming that it sends MIDI clock and transport messages, why not set the MPC to double speed and send MIDI clock to the OT and set the OT’s patterns to use a tempo multiplier of 1/2X?
Again, I don’t know about the MPC2000. But if its pads can send MIDI notes on a single channel, then you can play the OT chromatically over a two-octave range using the note numbers given on page C-1 of the OT’s manual. If its pads can send MIDI notes on different channels, then you can trigger the samples that are assigned to the audio tracks of the OT.
