OT with Softsynth - is it synchronized with outboard gear?

hey! there is already quite a bit about it, but I cannot find anything definite about this specifically.

namely the OT with a VST instrument like the Omnisphere.

is it possible to control the omnisphere synchronously via the OT without a DAW? So does it really run in sync with the analog outboard devices?

If omnisphere can respond to midi CC messages from the OT via an interface, in standalone operation. Yes.

If not. No.
