yes, that’s what the OB manual says at least- keep them all unchecked…
Good idea.
All unchecked, yes.
I wonder if I am just expecting the wrong thing here. With heat in overbridge mode I shouldn’t expect to get audio from heat at all? Like I still have the mixer going into heat, should I hear heat audio via overbridge? Like I hear A4 audio and AR audio through overbridge?
EDIT: But if I set it up as a return…oooh, I can feed a little bit of signal from A4 and AR. Noice.
Yes. AH should be in OB mode too. Drop the Plugin on the Master.
Yeah, So with the plugin in a return track I am getting something. But not what I expected. So confused. I think maybe I am expecting the wrong thing.
Will try it on master
EDIT: facepalm. Finally I understand. Thank you for your patience. And help. It works.
EDIT2 (the final edit): This is ace. Opens up a whole new way of using this kit. Should’ve done this ages ago
yep, honestly I don’t understand why OB gets so much hate/not sure why so many people refuse to use it. it’s changed the way I make music. hybrid setups are awesome and OB is pretty seamless after you get it setup (at least in my experience).
With the latest OB, 2 issues that weren’t there before, may occur : tempo fluctuations and devices stopping for no reason. Tell me if it’s the case for you.
I guess this is maybe off topic (in which case I could start a new thread) BUT also kind of on topic for the hybrid nature of the setup:
Now that I have experienced this using overbridge, and putting heat on a return track, I’ve noticed I can use much crunchier/more extreme settings and just send a little of A4 signal to it, and it is whole other unit now…
Is there a way to do the same with the mix8? Looking at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EK4pdoX0V1c yes, but what about the fact that the heat is stereo in? What is the trade-off/cost if I send a mono signal to heat?
