Pads controller for RYTM MK2

Is anyone using a Pad Controller with his RYTM for fingerdrumming. I mean let´s face it, the RYTM is cool, but the Pads still suck on the MK2.

So I was wondering what would be the best solution. I like the Maschine Pads but you have to connect a PC in order to connect it to the RYTM I guess. Don´t know about Akai or even Arturia.

I never tried but Akai MPD 218 is cheap and apparently sensitive. Usb.

but you cannot connect a USB Controller driectly to the RYTM? I thought you need MIDI.

I don’t think so. I have an Iconnectmidi2. Up to 7 usb connections. Kenton Usb to midi is a bit more expensive.

More choice with usb things, probably better quality. There are some old pads with midi DIN, like MPD 32, M Audio Trigger Finger, Trigger Finger Pro.
I’d love a HPD20!

Korg padKontrol also has din midi out.

Akai MPD 226 and MPD 232 have midi out over mini jack adapter, never played with them, though.
