Pattern save question

I did see a long thread on here about this topic and I read a lot of it (Its a long thread.)
It never really described it clearly.

Anyway, I am in a new project and have 4 patterns. The bpm is different for each one. I want it that way. But the bpm does not change when changing patterns.

I thought the digitakt could save bpm per pattern?

There is global and pattern bpm. When you open the menu to set the bpm there is an option to switch between global and pattern bpm.
