I only just found out about this and tbh am heart broken. She passed away in December. A dear friend introduced me to her music a good few years back, and there was an instant resonance. I know a lot of other people feel the same way. I searched for a thread, couldn’t find one, but wanted to honour her. Her Trans-Millenia Consort work is brilliant, Spectre to me is essential. RIP
A remarkable artist. I just discovered that my favourite (counter)cultural critic Erik Davis is a longtime fan and interviewed Pauline for Wire magazine and his own podcast after the release of the RVNG compilation. The podcast is called Expanding Mind, well worth checking out. She mentions that she used a Prophet 10 and ‘DX’ (DX7 I’m guessing) back in the day.
