Hi guys,
I’m not sure what to look for in the manual, so I’ll try here. Does anyone know if there is a way to make the A4 not auto-save? Here is the situation explained.
I set up a new project in the A4 to use for our live gigs - the setup is ableton sending program changes to the A4, where I’ve made various kits/patterns on the A4 that will be triggered to play at certain places in our live set. This works beautifully, with the performance page making it awesome on stage.
We play a gig, tweak out the parameters on the performance page and patches as we go along. People dance everything is awesome.
We get off the stage and true to any techno/house act we get shitfaced and party til we have to jump in a cab to reach the plane to our next gig.
We set up and start playing, and this is when the problems sorta occurs, since when triggering the patterns on our next gig, it will trigger with the settings last used, which might be filters wide open, pitches changed etc…
I might be an idiot, but I haven’t found an easy fix for this. Any ideas?
yeah there’s the option to automatically reload the kit when it is switched. it’s in GLOBAL > SEQUENCER SETTINGS.
you can also hit FN+KIT, and in the line where it says RELOAD (KIT) press right cursor, then it should say RELOAD (ALL KITS), hit YES…
you can (and should) also save your project when it’s in a state where you want it to be.
then, if you want to restore that state, hold FN+GLOBAL for a second, a menu comes up where you can quick-load a project. just load the project you want and that’s that.
