Can you guys recommend a good platform for me to use? Should I use dreamweaver or take the traditional WordPress. http://webhostingvsdomain.com/dreamweaver-vs-wordpress/. I read that Dreamweaver has drawbacks but I read that WordPress is not the best for coding. Are there any good platforms besides these two? Thank you for any advice.
This partially depends what all you’d like to put on your website.
Dreamweaver is an IDE, while Wordpress is a content management system.
If you are looking for a simple static single page site that is mostly just a bio/info page, hard-coding it in Dreamweaver or any other code editer would be efficient.
If you want a lot of plug n play features and abstraction from writing code to more visual elements, wordpress is an easy choice. Just make sure you keep your site updated with the latest Wordpress versions as they are known for security holes.
