In addition to answering Peter’s questions, I also recommend making sure the Mutant Brains is both updated and has a Sysex configuration loaded that is compatible with how you set up your Octatrack MIDI outputs. Here’s a great resource by Bo Beats covering the process on the Digitakt, which should be very similar:

I wan to be able to sequence my Plaits and Basimilus itaritas with Octatrack .So I will be able to put trigers on the 1-16 pads on the Octatrack to each voice.So lets sayPlaits on track T1 and Basimilus on T2 and triggers will create beat.
What have you tried so far?
I found some Sysex files for Octatrack on YouTube in comments section but when I connected OCT to Mbrains in OCT after I pressed MIDI on the display next to level -Note would change every other second.So I ended up uploading default Sysex file or Bo’s Beats (I can’t remember anymore) to the Mutant brains. I also watched Bo’s video on Mutant Brains.In Octatrack settings In MIDI -Sync I marked to send transport and send clock, marked Prog CH Send Ch2, Recv Ch1.
Which aspects are you stuck on?
I stuck on setting up my Octatrack so I can put triggers in a sequencer. What I was able to do is in Track mode (but I was expecting this from chromatic mode) when I pressed 3 trigger and 4th I heard the sound of Plaits and Basimilus but only in Track mode and only on those triggers 3,4 th. And it doesn’t play if mode is chromatic and when I place triggers from 1-16 pads if Record pressed.it plays only when I press them in non record mode which makes it as if its chromatic but only with 3 and 4 trigers…weird.
And I can’t play different notes as I play in chromatic mode only triger3 and 4 plays one note when I press it.
AlsoAlso if I press MIDI it shows

I don’t really understand what this means MIDI CH:-- but looks as if non of MIDI channels are seted up.

UPDATE:
I did surgery like in BO’s video I just didn’t put velocity as Octatrack doesn’t have it.So instead of Most recent note Velocity in CV.B and CV.D I put “Second Note pitch”.
It does play now in Chromatic mode, but again only one note on all triggers 1-16. In Trackplay mode it plays the sound when 1 and 2 tiger is pressed and 9 and 10th. Now I am trying to figure out why 2 sounds (of Plaits and Basilmilus) are at the same time for some reason and on separate trigger . and still can’t place triggers in Track play mode (if record is pressed)
UPDATE:
I was able to get triggers to play in track mode (1-16) and change their pitch but I am trying to understand why only Track2 (midi Chanel 2 ) is only playing and again 2 voices at the same time.How do I assign another voice to another track.?
