Please help: Pattern Backup failed

Before I sent my Analog Four to sweden for repairs, I did a complete syx backup.
Today I got my unit back. The 1st thing I did was an OS upgrade to 1.11B, and empty reset.
I now managed to get my data back in the A4 except my pattern data! (and project title).

This is making me sad since I got all my old songs and sounds back but it’s futile since all the patterns are empty!
The A4 said its receiving patterns from C6 but theres a dot next to the received patterns :S

I find it strange since I did a “whole project” and separate “All patterns” dump (Whole project should include patterns right?) I tried testing dumping and loading some test patterns today and that worked, but I want my old patterns back! :disappointed:

Am I missing something? or did I somehow mess up and dumped an empty “whole project” and empty “All patterns” syx or could it be related to the OS upgrade?

Would anyone be so kind to test my 2 syx files to see if its indeed devoid of pattern information?

It happens exactly same, must be a problem of incompatibility with the new OS . Elektron need to recover our jobs …

I finally contacted Elektron Support and will wait for a reply.

Hello, I have the same problem.
I think you patterns are not lost, the A4 just can’t receive it.

We need OS update !

Which version of the OS were you using when you created your backup?

You might want to try to:

  1. “downgrade” your unit to the exact same OS version you were running when you dumped your projects, then…

  2. see if you can get your projects back on the unit while it’s running the older OS version, then…

  3. upgrade to the latest OS version without wiping everything first.

I think I was using the previous OS to 1.11b : 1.11 The older OS don’t show on the Elektron support page. Is it even possible to downgrade? Does anyone have these older versions ?

Update 13-13-2014: The new OS fixed the problem, loading the old Syx restores the project patterns.
