I can play chords, but I am unable to assign a two, three or four note chord to a single trig. Is that possible? If so, how? Thanks.
Funny I was thinking about posting the same question!
It seems like it would be possible with the software but not the hardware. Anyone know? And likewise could you place multiple sound locks on a single trig?
Arp
Minuteman, in step record mode, hold down the notes you want on the mini keyboard and then press the trig you want them to be placed on. Make sure polyphony is enabled.
Darren, the synth engine only allows one ‘sound’ per trig, you can assign different sound locks on the same trig across different tracks but having multiple sound locks on one trig in one track is impossible because the synth engine can only play one sound per track at time.
thanks djsm! makes sense. but what about things like p-locks? ie. the same sound on a track with multiple notes on a single trig? again i’m assuming that p-locks are per trig on the sequencer due to the design, but it is interesting. like for instance a chord where one note has a sharp decay and the others have a long one.
That would be nice, but if you dedicate one Kit for achieving this…you can have quite the same thing.
Playing a note on the root note Track, you can have other Tracks with other intervals (envelopes and so on…) to building fixed chords (you can also have a Macro to change intervals and, so, chords)
P.S.
I love the AF’s sound when the sequenced notes change using the two Oscs instead of using actual notes.
With careful of the mixed sound coming out from AF, there 8 oscillators…yummm.
And AF…goes huge…believe me

djsm - thank you. is “step record mode” the same as “grid record mode?” If so, that is not working for me. All I get on play back is a single note.
Also, polyphony is enabled in the kit. Is there somewhere else it needs to be enabled?
Thanks again.
Try the other way around, in grid record mode, hold a trig and then a few notes on the minikeys. That should work.

Yes! Thank you.
