Prices going up

Just saw prices have gone up (substantially) on Thomann:
Behringer Neutron was 298€, now 322€
Same for Neutron…
Is this a trend?

Do you mean Model D?

Yes
My bad

Could be a Thomann thing? DFAM & M32 have recently gone up too. Maybe someone’s familiar with enough prices to have an overview…

I see prices fluctuate up and down constantly on most music gear, I wouldn’t take it to mean anything at all.

True enough but since day 1 Neutron and Model D were always 299€

Behringer synth prices do seem to be unpredictable from what I’ve saw in the past. However I do think the trend in the long term will be upward. I thought there might be a slight drop for a month or so but we might not even get that. All countries are putting money into the system and this will cause inflation in the end.

Nah not at all the prices for both in my area fluctuate constantly, I’ve seen D for as low as $207, back to 300, down to 268, back up, and same with Neutron, seen the price on that change probably 15 times just in my history of checking. Saw it for $220 for a bit.

Model: are 50$ up in Canada.

think it’s based on stock amounts. I’ve noticed that they run discounts on last 1,2 units then bump up again …i nabbed last AR recently and price immediately went up with new stock due in 1-2 weeks

The latest Behringer youtube video said there chinese factories have reopened to limited capacity so maybe that’s causing the price rise?

Could be any number of things. Changes to manufacturing as @richie suggested. International freight prices are also increasing and there’s a bit of an issue with worldwide supply chains at the moment. Don’t know much about finance but the money markets definitely affect Australian prices - so I’d imagine the current economic crises happening all over the place could be doing something too

Edit: Went looking for a test mic the other day (behringer ecm8000), salesman said there might be a bit of a wait before chinese manufactured stock comes in. I’d expect they’ll be having the same problem with stuff made elsewhere soon enough if not already - I’m expecting prices will be higher as stock starts trickling in.

just wonder why Elektron Digitone Keys is now 999 at Thoman and Musicstore. it was like 12XX before. So its nearly 25% down. If you wanna buy the Digikeys, its maybe a good moment now … or wait untill Superbooth Home edition and a MKII?

blowing out stock would be my guess. Seems like they Key’d elektrons always move slower.

It’s that unwieldy form factor. I get that they tried to channel the nostalgia from the original monomachine, but F—, it takes up a ton of space. To each their own, I suppose.
