Pro 3 or Analog Four MKII

I’m pretty sure all three filters in the pro3 are analog but I guess I could be wrong. They sound amazing either way so I don’t really care.

Yeah I’d be surprised as well… I’m referring to this document:

All 3 are analog filters.

No, definitely not, indeed.
Peak is really good in this regard, by the way.
I was thinking aloud, I guess ^^

Just an update - I went to Manny’s in Melbourne and spent about 30 minutes with the Pro 3. Very nice, hefty sound, really intuitive UI, but then after playing with the A4 for a while, I ended up with the A4. Something about it… it just clicked with my workflow.

Maybe one day down the road I’ll get a Pro 3, but so far I think the A4 will fill the gap and then some. But if Dave ends up making a Pro 3 with an Elektron sequencer (really, even just what they have now with the Pro 3 but added Pattern and Sound bank), it will be an instabuy.

PS: on the Pro 3, if you’re playing a sequence and change the program via the knob, the sequence stops playing. So you can’t fake pattern chaining by using the same sound on different Programs but changing the sequencer per Program.

Yep, that’s what I felt when playing with it, and confirmed it in the past 24 hours :star_struck:

I saw your other post on GS. It sounds like you ended up with the right instrument for you. Congrats on the new addition! I look forward to hearing what you do with it.

sorry to bump, but i just came across this and was stunned. i keep saying the same thing and i haven’t seen my sentiments echoed before, so it made me happy

even the behringer pro-1 in an analog four would solve so many of my problems. it’s almost as if its by design for every piece of gear to be a compromise in terms of features

well…

I ended up selling my Analog Four mk2 a few weeks ago and ended up with a Pro 3 SE. As I’ve said in the Elektronauts Pro 3 thread, it’s the monosynth that I’ll never sell. It sounds :chefkisses:.

Sure, the Pro 3 doesn’t have an Elektron sequencer, but its built-in sequencer is good enough to get exactly what you want while you record it into an Octatrack.

Watch Ricky Tinez’s video “A Sampler, Synth, and Drum machine… All you need!” to see the magic.
