Pure Elektron Setup

Hello my fellow Elektonautz! First time poster, long time elektron owner. I need some opinions from the expertz. I currently own machinedrum uw, monomachine, octabeast, analog four and analog rytm (thinking about getting the analog keys). I owned the octabeast (octatrack) for almost three yearz. I am starting to wonder if it is completely possible to mix and master everything in the octabeast since you can resample and move samples to static machines . Is that a wise choice? Any of you ever tried making and processing music on nothing but elektron gear? …I mean without using other stuff like ablton live, daws, multi records and etc.

I’m not really an expert, but I have done some pieces purely on the Electron boxes, sometimes using other HW wa well. It’s fun, but for me, it’s quicker to manage lots of samples on the computer. Especially fixing problem samples, for example, the DAW is more precise… For me at least.

Made lots of music just using hardware… had a whole studio setup.
At the time I had it… computers got more and more important for those who
really wanted to make completely finished music from 0 beginning to published-end, efficiently and consistantly…

But And this is important… Many here on elektronauts… they dont make music as a goal.
they wanna have fun with machines… People who work with computers all day.
then come home… and want to tinker with something… I bet those people will say:

Hell yeah, its possible, and its fun… and I do it all the time…

if i wanna have a few days of pure fun… I grab my elektrons…
if i want to write a full album in one go… no strange limits stopping me, and got deadline… I grab computer…

pretty much all pieces are done with just elektron boxes on my channel

occasionally some kaoss pad fx, or a korg machine, but 90 % elektron gear … recorded in ableton without further processing…

i’ d want an audio and MIDI router just so to make it easier to change what goes into what because they are all so flexible, but yeah.

oh, i’d still have someone else master it tho, but that doesn’t matter what i’m using.
