feeling a bit silly as i expect this has been covered someplace obvious, but i can’t find it in the os 1.25 manual for the life of me.
i normally set my ot to quick mute mode for performing. today, after i did so, i somehow managed to change the look of the display so that the squares representing the tracks are no longer their usual solid selves, but somewhat “grayed out”. the trig button led’s are also less bright than before. quick mute mode still works fine, but the different look was surprising to say the least. hope i stumbled upon a feature i’ve been too dense to notice.
thanks man, have a look. my currently active tracks (see first pic) are sample tracks 5-8 and midi tracks 2-4 (trigs 5-8 and 10-12). midi track 3 / trig 11 is green and brighter than the rest, while 10 & 12 are half-lit amber. 5-8 are half-lit red.
in the second, close-up pic, you’ll notice the active tracks are empty gray squares made of dotted lines instead of solid ones … except for midi track 3, which is represented by an “s” or i guess possibly a “5” (just noticed that).
when i switch to other projects, quick mute mode appears normal. so i definitely toggled something in this particular project. still got no idea how.
Ok…this should be the manual’s section (p.45) that is of interest for you:
So your screen means that the ‘S’ track is soloed and the dotted squares are unmuted tracks but not audible because the solo.
Exiting the solo by CUE+TRACK and the screen will revert to a more known visual state
