A few days ago, the RS-CP voice started crackling every 30 seconds or so and lasts about 8 seconds. I can mute the tracks on the RYTM but the crackling still comes through on my computer on that channel.
I have random crackling every 5 minutes or so, and only lasts 4 seconds or so. I haven’t been using the individual outs, and haven’t been able to narrow it down to one instrument.
Are you getting the crackling through the main outs?
The crackling comes through the RS-CP channel. I’m using overbridge, so I can see the channel meter going higher on that channel when the crackling happens. It doesn’t make a difference if I mute the RS-CP voice, the crackling still comes through on that channel.
Its doing it consistently every 30 seconds ish and lasting 8 seconds. It’s not subtle either, it’s like 8 seconds of white noise.
I’ll submit a support ticket for it and post up the response.
must be overbridge-related. I don’t use OB (too beta for my tastes) and have never experienced any crackles. Crackling audio always makes me think about DAWs and buffer underruns, but then again that’s the only environment where I’ve encountered em…
Hi there, new user here.
Been playing the AR for a few months now. Not using overbridge for now, just standard midi connections.
It crackles almost all the times.
Curious to know what you guys think, I might open a ticket, but was hoping someone has already found a solution to this problem. Cheers!
PS: I have a MacBookPro Mid 2009, OS X 10.8.5 and RME Fireface 802
