hi, uncertain what is happening nor can i find the answer in the manual.
while working on my RYTM, somehow all patterns of every kit are cleared, meaning all sequenced/triggered steps are cleared.
this include for the factory default ones (first 32 kits) and any kits i’ve created.
all banks show empty data.
please help!
Weird…
There’s no nuke everything button you can acidentally hit…
Are you sure you or anyone else didn’t load another project?
When did it happen, was it fine until a power off and then was like this when you turned it back on?
If so maybe something got messed with the active ram state and came up with an empty project…
There’s a test mode you can run by holding function when powering up and then pressing trig 1 after the menu comes up. It should tell you if there’s hardware errors…
I think you want to contact Elektron support about this, doesn’t sound good, sorry…
hi Open_Mike, thanks for your reply.
i’ve emailed support, yet to hear back.
i did Test Mode, 0 errors.
this issue occurred, twice, while i’m just playing around, fully powered.
the very odd thing is… it occurred when i was working on 3 track/sounds, BD/CP/CH, after whatever happened every Kit i load up would only have patterns on these 3 tracks (nothing is muted).
further weird, every steps of every Kit now follows the exact same trigger/pattern i’ve created. (i.e… i wrote BD steps in 1,5,9,13, now every kit only play that exact pattern, except the sound parameters are different).
i’m so puzzled.
is there a “follow me mode” that overlords everything?
OK, we may have to back up a bit and make sure your understanding kits and patterns…
After you worked on the three tracks did you just change kit from the kit menu(funtion+kit) or did you actually change patterns using the A->H buttons to select bank and the trigs to select pattern?
Are you in Song / Chain mode?
