RYTM Samples per project trick/tip

I’m sure other people have figured this out; if so laugh at this simple concept that I figured out.

Objective: you want to be able to use the same samples in a new project while starting fresh. To do this, you make sure you need to have the same samples always in the same slots.

Solution: Organize your samples on your computer, and then number them 001-128.

Here’s what I did:

I picked out all my samples on my computer. I did my best to group the samples together and then I numbered them. Yes it adds to the name and makes it longer but if you start your bass/kick drums this makes it easier to audition if they are all next to each other. (Once again, another laughable simple concept.)

I’m still new to the rytm; i haven’t had it for even a year yet. This is a workflow technique that if I had figured it out last year, I would have saved myself a lot of grief and time.

I have a tendency to save copies of projects while I’m developing a working set. Sometimes, it’s better to start a fresh.

I hope I’m not wasting anyone’s time or bandwidth … ta ta :stuck_out_tongue:

You should maybe look into using sample chains for your drums as opposed to oneshots for saving sample slots? like one chain for kicks, another for snares etc

As for starting a new project with the same samples and sample slot assignments, IME it’s easiest to just save a project under a new name and clear the patterns. But YMMV as usual.

I made some chains and trying to import them into the rytm was painful. It took forever, so I gave up. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
