Save Selection As Sample OR Save & Assign Sample

Been really into manually sampling, it’s the most fun I’ve had in a long time with an instrument. I’m literally spending 4-05 hours a day just sampling, it’s time consuming but worth it…really nice to create your own synth patches then sample them…

I’m curious though, how do you all save your samples:

Do you usually do:
Trim > then go into Edit > Save Selection As Sample

or

File > Save Sample Copy ( or the Save & Assign Sample) > Save Sample Settings

To be able to save your Gain settings under Attributes is too useful for me to do it the first way. Also, the first way decreases the volume considerably I’ve noticed.

But, the first way doesn’t seem to create an .ot file, which is kind of nice if you plan to use your samples outside of the OT.

i Always save and assign sample and when I look for it in the SRC it is a .wav. Hope this helps ! Also always save and assign the sample to your project before you turn off the OT or it will disappear!
