Hey thanks for mentioning this! Here are some pics of waves made on the digitone using MOscilloscope in Ableton via Overbridge.
It really took some elbow grease but most basic shapes and even their modulations can be done with a pretty high degree of accuracy. The tough part was getting some of the naturally surgical sounding modulations to be stable.
Prime example being the pulse waveâs manual PWM which is assigned to the mod wheel. If my memory is correct it requires the slightest operator offset to work, and if the modulation settings werenât spot on it would be a pulse for a few seconds and then phase into something else periodically. The problem is addressed enough that itâs generally negligible but if you hold a note for a very long time youâll hear it phase out eventually.
TL;DR it can all be done, but itâs a PITA to program if you want high accuracy
