I can probably upset both camps here. I’m still brand new to Digitone and was having a play in the evening as it was getting dark while also watching a tutorial.

When it became too dark to read the buttons and secondary function labels, instead of getting up and turning on a light, I would just pause the tutorial on a shot of the panel and use that as a reference to navigate the controls.

there are fretless guitars, and strings (like violin) don’t have any …

but i do like elektron’s utilitarian style a lot.

It doesn’t matter if gear has screens or not anymore to me. I’ve hired someone to play all my gear for me, let them suffer through it all.

As long as the sweet, dark, dubby techno keeps flowing to my standards, I don’t care what their ‘experience’ is like.
