Send MIDI to MPC1000?

hi

i’m new to the OT but gradually getting my head around it. so far i’ve been creating patterns using audio tracks only. i want to incorporate MIDI so that i can create patterns (or sequences?) using MIDI to trigger one-shots on my MPC1000. i’m not looking to then run the MPC output back into the OT, i only want to send MIDI to the MPC to trigger samples.

any idea how i would go about doing this?

The Octatrack MIDI sequencer can send MIDI notes, CC messages, and Program Change messages to external equipment like the MPC.
You should learn in detail about the OT’s MIDI sequencer by reading the relevant chapter in the manual.
