Send parameter locks to Ableton?

Hi,

In my current setup i don’t have any pedal effects, all my effects are VST based so i need to send the audio to Ableton in order to it be processed. For this i use return tracks, basically Return A is a Delay and Return B is Reverb.

I’m not sure if what i want is possible : i want to use the Octatrack’s Midi FX to send parameter locks to Ableton’s Reverb channel. For instance, Octatrack is sequencing a Moog Voyager for a 16 step bassline and i want the fourth step only to increase the Reverb.

I tried to map the CC1 knob to Ableton’s Return B knob, but when i turn the Octa’s knob, Ableton are not listening. I’ll do some search what could be wrong, but i’d like to know first if this is possible and if anyone could achieve this ?

I have never done this but in theory it should be possible as the octa does send p-locked cc values.

Make sure octa is sending midi cc’s in global options. Make sure Ableton has remote enabled for the in port of the midi port the octa is connected to.

Hello,

I could achieve this task , the problem was in the Midi configurations in Ableton.

That’s a very cool setup ! Now i can not only control the Voyager parameters on the Octatrack, but also control the effects right on the Octa’s knob ! I’m loving this machine :smiley:
