You can adjust the Lfo Start Phase for some minor variation.
You could also assign the Lfo to something beside OSC TUN.

Uh, that was really uncool. Things got a bit off-topic, but there was a lot of good conversation going on. I can’t stand over-moderated forums. Kinda surprised you’re so on top of this, but can’t answer simple questions about Strom.

Sorry but thats just weak as fuck, and poor moderation. Some people were actually sharing worthwhile information I was looking forward to trying out, others legitimately bringing up certain (opinion based) weak points of the product this forum revolves around. I guess we aren’t allowed to discuss shit like that openly anymore, heaven forbid a couple of people get into an exchange and ruin it for the rest of us.

Full of skepticism, I asked for real examples of alternative hat sounds. Within a few posts, we had two, and I found them very helpful and useful.
I’m a moderator of a much busier forum, and I deal with shit-slinging on a regular basis, but never have I deleted a thread. Even spam threads, we have a trash bin to throw them in. If a thread gets out of hand, and members aren’t listening to verbals from moderators, they get warnings. If the thread is out of control, the thread is LOCKED for a time being in order to allow people to calm down, but to delete the thread entirely is poor moderation.
I don’t know how the moderation system works here, or what tools you have at your disposal, but deletion is an extreme measure to take in any case.
Like the previous thread, the chit chat to hats ratio is unbalanced.

While I still owned a Rytm, my absolute favourite part of it was the hats. You could get a sloppy, sleepy southern kind of vibe from the quite easily, keeping a nice untidy swing to the whole thing. In fact, the hats were the primary reason I kept it for so long - that, and the filters.
I never used just the analog engines, but never just the sample engine either. With the hats, the blend of oscillators and samples really came to life. With bandpass, moderate distortion, just a slight tint of bit crushing and modest delay, the whole thing came together quite nicely.
I usually employed samples from my Tempest, and let them be the foreground of the sound. I added enough of the analog sections to make sure the weight and richness of those voices added color and depth.
Here’s an example - it’s a crap track, but the hats, I like:
The hats come into play at 01:00, if you don’t want to listen to the damn thing through and through.
I really hope they update the cymbals/hi-hat engines as it was promised to me last year on MusikMesse … until nothing happend.

Um…yeah…I haven’t been around here for quite some time (due to all the bitching), but I have to agree with Prints on this one. Where’s the time to comment about Strom? Eh?
