folks, how would you create a bassdrum with rytm that has the snappiness of the sample attached? the sort of round feeling around the transient? don’t listen to it too loudly to understand what I mean.

I’d suggest starting with the silky BD engine and working with a quick and short pitch modulation on the initial transient.
also us the filter envelope fast attack… it lets that initial snap in and rounds back down the body with the filter.
also, for some of the tub sound in the kick, use some ever so subtle and careful chorus
