Software for pitch editing samples for Digitakt?

Hi!

I am looking for a software for easy sampling from Youtube and other sources and then can be used to change the pitch without changing the length of sample. I then want to transfer the samples to Digitakt.

Grateful for your suggestions.

Google: “Clipconverter” or “Anything2mp3” or “youtube download” or just record the speakes with your phone and email the audio to yourself and open it in your computer. Put the audio into your daw. If you dont have a daw, get the free program Audacity. Audacity does a lot of useful audio editing, but I dont know if it does pitch without timechange, if not, get another payed daw. Ableton for example, does pitchshift/warp great and easy. There is proably soooo many programs for this. My favorite daw these days is Renoise, its cheap and awesome, but it’s tracker based (like coded hieroglyphs for some). Another cheap, but good daw, is Reaper, with free 60 days trial of the full version.

After a little resaerch and testing, it turns out Audacity does work great for this. It can detect the bpm/ tempo, it can make grid, it can snap to grid, it can timestretch without pitchshift and it can pitchshift without timechange. Way more useful program than I could ever imagine. I can even export audio files so that Protracker in my Amiga 500 can play them. How crazy is that?

Does such a thing exist? A chrome extension that did that would be next level. Look into something with elastique algorithms live Live or Studio One or probably most other DAWs.

Thank you, Audacity was a great suggestion! Have downloaded it and started pitch shifting.

Oh my yes, I just remembered that Audacity can also resample all audio running through your pc. Like “record-what-you-hear” functionality.

I suddenly remembered I used to do this with the Amiga emulator WinUAE playing mods, then also record them into Audacity.

A bit off topic but there’s another piece of software for djs to get records in time or pitch. It can round up or down samples to closest pitches and tag them or change the filename if waves, and batch, fast. This can be timestretch or turntable so I like it because it’s non destructive
