Hello,
Does anybody know of any software that has octatrack type scenes? I’v seen the meta-surafce in Audiomulch, and that’s not far off, but I was wondering of there’s anything else?
Cheers!

Check Ableton Live + Max4Live. There are many patches that mimic the scene function. Check Kapture or anything that let you create snapshots (aka scenes). Some device patches let you morph between those snapshots, like on the OT. But beware that they are a bit clumsy compared to the OT and definetely not as direct.
For a start check http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device.php?id=646
OT Scenes are great. It should be a staple feature in DAWs and support 3rd party Plugins etc. When you think about that kind of stuff most DAWs really lack imagination…
Agreed! Program level macros, which I think exist in machine, are a step in the right direction, but not quite the same.
Thanks for the suggestion ariHaf
Bitwig Studio has XY Effect container module. It has 4 FX slots in the corners of XY touchpad area and mixes them together based on your XY coordinates. Not exactly morphing the parameters but you could get similar results when combined with macro knobs which can control nested FX parameters etc.
there is also clyphX for Ableton Live, so you do not nee max4live. It’s a bit hacky but really powerfull. You can program dummy clips that save the state of all divices on a track or the set and than trigger the clips with a padcontroller or something. You can set everithing to direct jump or morph over time. endless possibilities … and it’s free … i think it is free . check http://beatwise.proboards.com/board/5
