a cool guy I met, suggested the above mentioned Sonnus … and I was thinking, could I sacrifice 1 voice from the AR in chromatic, or sample mode, and thereby sequence my BSii …
any thoughts?

It works, not perfect tho and it needs lots of adjustment. Besides, no cc, program change or velocity. Just note in a limited range (3/4 octaves)
A beatstep (pro) may be more suitable?

anybody tried cv to midi, to use the cv from the A4 as a midi sequencer?

It seems a lot wiser to me to get an iOS device to sequence your other gear (if you don’t already have a midi sequencer), just sending it clock/transport from your AR/A4 or whatever you use as master.
