There are no preamps, EQs, or transformers; I don’t think this is the best thing to get if you want to overdrive your machines. I believe this is good for high-quality transparent summing with tons of headroom.

Prints. I just run my machindrum through first two channels and drive the inputs of 1 and 2.

Yea the X-Desk is very transparent and actually reduces the noise of vintage devices like an SP1200. But you can raise the input gain and heat things up a little. IF you want to get in trouble you will need other boxes in your signal path.
Do you have the OB6 or is it shipping to you?
It’s shipping out to me. Had to regretfully put my A4 and a Sound Skulptor analog stereo tape simulator I love up for sale to afford it though. Hopefully, this will stave any GAS for a significant amount of time.
Did I sleep on the sound skulptor up for sale? Dude my signal chain would of been X desk —> sound skulptor----> field recorder / DAW.
