“la-de-da-de-da”? Please elaborate.
Open sesame ^^
Yeah… Nothing happens.
Hmmm, so based on Cuckoo’s latest interview with TE, it sounds like the functionality I was originally hoping for with the OP-Z (sequencing stuff like POs, recording, etc) could come later via expansion modules.
Sounds like it could evolve into something neat, but it could take years. Well, it will be interesting to watch how it goes and it was cool to see that you can pair external controllers like mixers with it.
Umpteen?
Didn’t know people used that phrase any longer…
Not heard that word in yonks
The Syntonovo guy is just that way. As he says in the video – Envelopes, how many do you want 10, 20? I think that’s what umpteen means here as many as you want. This synth looks quirky and unique all in a good way.
Great word though.
Umpteen always just meant ‘given up counting’ to me.
Excellent!
Oodles of them.
Reminds me of this💎
Yeah, it’s his cute way of saying the envelopes, LFOs are digital, and thus a nearly limitless number is available - limitation imposed by whatever CPU is in there.
Fun way to wrap up the show with Gaz in fast forward!
Great modules
CDM’s roundup lists some intriguing items not previously mentioned here - like the Chair Audio haptic thing.
That CHAIR thing looked super cool! I signed up to be notified for updates- but unlike their emails appear to be in German(opposed to English- like their site was )
2 months of daily German practice on Duolingo and you should be good. Wink!
Another fun way to wrap up the Show
Loopop plays this beautiful composition with all the synths of the show.
Such a peaceful suite out of the din that is a tradeshow. How did he do it?!
VERY pleased to see new videos from Matthias and Co. at Future Artist.
Here, Gaz from SonicState go in depth about the MIDI Platform.
REALLY exciting to see things things lit-up and making sounds.
The text display on the screen, and the last-thing-touched chasing looks great.
Very excited to see and hear about of:
- multiple MIDI I/O
- generative LFOs and ENVelopes for MIDI data (CCs) OR for other onboard parameters
…so this thing looks like it could go REAL deep along the lines of what can be done within the MIDI side of the OT (LFOs, Arps on a Step Sequencer), so I wanted to share with you all.
Sounds like Matthias welcomes input and ideas for the Platform (plugins, routing, OS features), so if you’ve got ideas, email him directly at:

Just came across this video … a composite put together from various performances at SB18. Fun watch when/if you have a spare 7 minutes.
There is an extended section with Mr Dataline starting at 4:00.
