I wat to use the Analog Keys within my live set but would love to switch songs (every song a different kit) via my ableton live set.
Doesn’t seem to work with program changes with the AK though…
anybody an idea?
even better would be to also be able to switch the global mode for different multimap modes in this way!

Kits are stored against patterns. So each pattern can have its own kit, or share it with any other.
Patterns are selected via program change (not kits or patches).
So, if you want Live to control which kit is being played, then set a few patterns (say A1 -> A4) to have their owns kits (Kit1, Kit2, Kit3, Kit4).
Then PC 1-4 (0-3 really) will select Patterns A1->A4 which will in turn load kits Kit1, Kit2, Kit3, Kit4.
Alas there is no way (that I’m aware of) of selecting either a kit or a patch via program change messages.
Elektron decided a ways back that PC messages would choose Patterns, which is great when using lots of Elektron gear together, as they then pattern track each other really well.
Not as good an implementation when trying to play with other gear.
