SYNTAKT Bugs Thread

Dual VCO engine.
Very low noise modulation sound.
Went through the LFO section, set rate and depth to zero, scrolled through destinations, found it was coming from destination = filter frequency. That is, it got louder.

Maybe not a bug as far as analog synthesis goes, but it’s audible when the LFO isn’t set to filter frequency.

Anyone experienced the mutes locking up?

Every now and again the mutes are not responding when I hit them, I have to leave mute mode and return to it to get them to work again.

Syntakt 1.2: MIDI machines in Overbridge mode always sends notes to track 1.

Me too. Have to flip to green mode and back to purple.

Is it since the last update?

Yep.

Bought another Syntakt ?

I signaled it before song mode update.
Conditions:

  • Be in Grid Recording mode
  • Go to FX ROUTING page, or AUDIO ROUTING page, or SCALE page
  • Func + Bank to activate MUTE MODE

Please report it to support, with @LyingDalai we already talked about it to Elektron team during Beta testing but it wasn’t a priority because nobody complained about it before us…

Nope.

Yep.

Will do

Well, seems odd that it never happened to me before 1.2 and has happened to me about 10 times since.

So for me, definitely still a yep.

Definitely? I posted 2 videos about it in june.

3rd possibility: AUDIO ROUTING page

Another bug.

If I set the master length in the per track scale menu to infinite, it keeps changing the master length to 2, noticeably, if I go back to the pattern scale page, but it has also done it in circumstances I am yet to fully figure out.

Yes, but for me I think it’s something different. I can’t give you exact reproduction steps but for it not to happen at all during months of heavy use, then happen about 10 times in the week or so since 1.20 came out, suggests to me it’s something to do with 1.20 in my case. Might be the same thing happening but for a different reason.

The next time it happens I will see if I can reproduce.

Not sure if this is a bug. If I have a track set to mute it can still be heard if I am playing it using the keyboard.

Not a bug, Mutes only mute the sequence

Got it. Thanks.

Looked and didn’t see anything about this… sent in ticket as well… anyone else have this problem?

Problem has existed since the first firmware/overbridge release. hasn’t bothered me since wasn’t really using the device and hoping it would get fixed… but now I need to use the device and really need to get this problem dealt with. I have’t seen anyone mention it on the forums so thought I would create a ticket. Basically can adjust the bd modern setting once. If overbridge panel is closed and then reopened any bd modern tracks will display “midi setting available on device” instead of controls(see image attached). I have not tried to see if this happens on any other machines I have with overbridge installed and have tried to uninstall overbridge(and verified that it was actually removing the VST and components) to no avail. Help!

Can’t mute the fx-block (purple) in song-mode, green works fine.
To clarify: It works in the song-mode mute-submenu, but not outside of it. The tracks however can be muted ouside the submenu. Is this intentional?, if yes, for what reason? Seems laborious to menudive for a front-panel feature.

Hi, got my Syntakt yesterday so I’m new to this but I think that I found a bug, can someone try it out, maybe it’s known already?

So i shortened one track to 5 steps (rest is 16 steps) and then put a sound on the first step on the 5 step track and it double triggers the sound. It doesn’t double trigger if I put it on steps 2, 3, 4 or 5.

Doesn’t sound like a bug, if you set the master length higher the truncated pattern won’t begin its fourth repition and suddenly restart at 1

OxxxxOxxxxOxxxxO/repeat

You have a polymeter happening with different counts

Wait what…I thought I had it figured out.

My thinking was that if the step count on the right side in the view where you set length was kind of “master” and the one on left was for my specific track and that it would mean that the main sequence is 16 steps and my shortened track keeps on looping every 5 steps.

I guess I have to read again and understand it properly.
